Day 1 – Arrival & Evening Ganga Aarti
Arrive in Varanasi and check into your hotel or guesthouse. In the evening, head to Dashashwamedh Ghat for the famous Ganga Aarti – a mesmerizing Hindu ritual with fire, chants, and music performed on the banks of the sacred Ganges River. You can also enjoy a short boat ride to see the lit-up ghats from the water. Wrap up the day with dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 2 – Temple Tour & Cultural Sights
Start early with a sunrise boat ride on the Ganges, which offers a peaceful view of Varanasi’s spiritual life. After breakfast, visit important temples such as the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Durga Temple, and Tulsi Manas Mandir. In the afternoon, explore the Bharat Kala Bhavan Museum inside BHU (Banaras Hindu University), showcasing rare manuscripts and art. End the day with a stroll through local markets like Godowlia for street food and souvenirs.

Day 3 – Sarnath Excursion
Take a half-day trip to Sarnath, located just 10 km from Varanasi. It’s the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after enlightenment. Day 4 – Explore the Old City & Hidden Gems
Spend the day wandering through Varanasi’s narrow alleys and discovering its hidden gems. Visit Manikarnika Ghat, the main cremation ghat, for an eye-opening cultural experience (with respect and sensitivity). Discover lesser-known temples, try famous street food like kachori sabzi, lassi, and Banarasi paan. You can also take part in a silk-weaving tour to see how the famous Banarasi sarees are made.
Day 5 – Spiritual Wrap-up & Departure
Start the day with a visit to a peaceful ghat like Assi Ghat and take part in Subah-e-Banaras, a morning prayer and music ritual. If time allows, enjoy a final local breakfast or visit a nearby ashram or bookshop. Check out from your hotel and head to the airport or railway station for departure.
